Nikon DSLR D5000

Nikon D5000 SLR 12 Megapixe Digital Camera

The Nikon D5000 has a compact size, but you can see immediately that the unit is thicker than the Nikon D60, for example. If we move the camera to look at his back, we know why the Nikon D5000 has an LCD screen that can be folded to. “Finally,” is the first thought that came to my mind. Until now, Nikon did not consider it a necessity, even if competitors were mounting this type of multi-functional display regularly on DSLRs. Literally, until now, due to the introduction of the Nikon D5000, we’ll probably see more of these monitors fold-out on the future of Nikon DSLR cameras.

The appearance of Nikon D5000 changes the classification of the D60, down to be precise. The D60 takes the position of the D40x (the latter was removed from the set), the Nikon D5000 and after that comes over him, we find the Nikon D90 digital SLR. The Nikon D5000 is a combination of D60 and D90. It has the ease and compact size of the D60, but the innovative technology of the D90. And if possible, Nikon has made some improvements, such as the functionality of HD video capture.

High definition seems to have made a breakthrough and this feature, first seen on the D90, was also applied to the Nikon D5000. Live View is also available on the Nikon D5000, as it is AF-tracking; make his first appearance here. Live View makes it more convenient for the user, while recording, focusing becomes easier. At the time of writing this overview, we have not yet had the chance to work with the D5000, however, we will return to this feature in the forthcoming review Nikon D5000.

The upper part of the Nikon D5000 resembles that of the D60. Graphic reproduction of the knob has slightly changed, and different detection button face has been replaced by an info button. If we compare the above Nikon D5000 with that of the D90, we find a greater difference. In particular, the small status display is a luxury you enjoy as Nikon D90 owner. If you look at the back of the D5000, we again find a great similarity with that of the D60.

There is an extra info button to the right of the screen. The same button is also available on top of the button, but this button is another one hour, providing additional information to the information that is directly taken up by the INFO button. There is an additional level of information available on the INFO button. It is a practical solution for the beginning photographer, although amateur amateur will not be willing to use it. We have already identified the Live View (LV) button to the right of the screen on the D90, but Nikon D5000 has not the so-called ‘Lock button.

The Nikon D5000 stands out for its own set of folding-screen LCD. However, this is not unique to the market, as we have seen these before display solutions on digital SLR cameras. In a first step, the bending-out followed by Nikon D5000 seems somewhat limited, because you can not tilt to the left or right. So you go right behind the camera. And that’s exactly why Nikon chose this type of monitor instead of the one found on the new Olympus E-620, for example.

The resolution of the Nikon D5000 is 12 megapixels, Nikon which once again made a clear statement. Increasing the amount of pixels on the sensors or DX-format 35 mm sensors should never be a reason for a new camera announcement. A statement that we fully support. The 12-megapixel resolution is more than sufficient to meet the target of this device. Enlargements high quality images can be made without problem.

The sensitivity ranges from ISO 200 to ISO 3200 expandable with both sides of 100 and ISO 64,000 equivalent. During the interviews, we were told that the SNR must be at least similar to the D90. We will take the test results of the DIWA Lab for the consideration of our camera is coming soon. We expect to receive a test sample of the Nikon D5000 at our office, so that we will be able to publish a full Nikon D5000 before long.

The Nikon DSLR D5000 also offers more options when it comes to image editing. The famous D-Lighting Nikon beautiful solutions already available, but with the image of the integrated control system, Retouch menu and incorporated into the filters, digital photography is becoming increasingly creative, even without using a computer. The D5000 is a Nikon digital SLR camera for amateurs, and when you look at the specifications, it will be interesting to see how competitors react to this introduction. [ via letsgodigital ]
